Privacy Policy

1. Who Pacer(s) is for

Pacer(s) is a training-partner coordination service for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create or use an account.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information

• Name, email address, user ID, handle, birthdate, gender, and profile biography.
• Profile photos, gallery images, sport profiles, experience, training preferences, pace, distance, power, session frequency, and race goals.
• Account preferences, verification status, discoverability choices, and notification settings.

Location information

• Home geography, nearby-area selections, and coarse location used for discovery and radius filters.
• Specific workout or meetup locations and coordinates that hosts choose to provide.
• Device location when you grant permission to suggest or prefill nearby places.

Location permission is optional. Core account access remains available when you enter geography and workout locations manually.

User content and activity

• Workouts, weekly plans, race participation, join requests, connections, passes, and blocks.
• Direct messages, workout messages, notes, reports, moderation submissions, and optional account-deletion feedback.
• Photos selected from your library or captured with your camera when you choose to upload them.

Device and operational information

• Authentication sessions, app installation identifiers, push tokens, notification delivery status, and security records.
• Limited technical logs needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and prevent abuse of the service.

Pacer(s) does not use your information for cross-app tracking and does not sell personal information.

3. How we use information

• Create, verify, secure, and maintain your account.
• Show relevant athletes, workouts, races, and training-partner recommendations.
• Publish workouts and manage participation, messaging, notifications, and profile features.
• Apply your privacy, discoverability, reporting, hiding, and blocking choices.
• Investigate abuse, enforce community standards, prevent fraud, and protect users.
• Provide support, process account deletion, maintain service reliability, and comply with law.

4. When information is shared

Information is shared with other users according to the feature you use and your settings. For example, profile details may appear in discovery, workout information is shown to eligible viewers, and messages are visible to conversation participants. Exact workout locations are restricted based on connection, participation, and host-access rules.

We also use service providers to operate Pacer(s), including Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and backend functions; Expo and Apple for application delivery and push notifications; and Google Places for optional place search. These providers process information only to provide their services to us and under their own applicable terms and privacy commitments.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate protections.

5. Retention and account deletion

We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. User-facing records may keep status history or be soft-deleted before scheduled cleanup.

You can permanently request account deletion inside Pacer(s) at Profile → Delete Account. The deletion process removes your account, profile, profile media, and account-owned application records. Limited moderation, safety, fraud-prevention, and deletion-audit records may be retained where reasonably necessary to protect users or comply with law.

6. Your choices

• Edit profile and sport information inside the app.
• Change discoverability and notification settings.
• Decline or revoke optional location, camera, photo-library, and notification permissions in device settings.
• Report, block, hide, leave, withdraw, or delete content using the available in-app controls.
• Delete your account in-app or contact us about access, correction, deletion, or another privacy request.

7. Security and international processing

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated access, encrypted transport, access controls, row-level database policies, and restricted server credentials. No service can guarantee absolute security.

Our providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for those transfers.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Pacer(s) evolves. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by email when appropriate.
